Sourcing agent · Canada
Built for the café that wants its outdoor seating in its own colour, the gym kitting out a new floor, the clinic fitting a reception — made-to-order work that factories will not take seriously and local suppliers quote at triple. You brief us during your working day in Vancouver; our factory contacts and inspectors in southern China work on it during theirs. One person in your time zone, eyes on the production floor in theirs.
Why the location matters
Most sourcing agents sit in China and answer overnight. Most Canadian importers deal with a factory sales rep whose job is to close, not to protect you. We sit in between, on your side.
Questions answered while you are at your desk. Factory answers land in your inbox by morning. No 2am calls, no waiting a day for a reply.
Negotiation and problem-solving happen in the factory’s own language. Nothing is lost in translation, and nothing is hidden in it either.
No account-manager relay. Benjamin ran supply chain in-house in Shenzhen before starting 45 Imports and still works the same factories.
What we do
Take everything from first brief to delivered pallets, or hand us the one step that keeps going wrong. Most clients start small and stay.
Real manufacturers, not trading companies. Business licence, export history and capacity checked before you see a quote.
Samples inspected here before they ship to you. Price, MOQ, tooling and payment terms negotiated with the cost structure understood.
Pre-shipment inspection to AQL standards before the balance clears, then freight, customs paperwork and delivery to your warehouse or 3PL.
How it is priced
For a full sourcing project our fee is a percentage of the order value, agreed in writing before any work starts. It covers sourcing, negotiation, sample management, production follow-up and the pre-shipment inspection — there is no separate inspection invoice on a project we are managing.
You pay the factory directly and always see its original invoice. Our fee is the same whichever factory you choose, so there is nothing steering our recommendation except whether they can deliver.
The percentage moves with order value and complexity: a larger, simpler order carries a lower rate than a small, multi-factory custom build. We will tell you where your project falls on the first call.

FAQ
No. Most of our clients are in Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom as well as Canada. Being in Vancouver means we work Pacific hours; the factory side of the work happens the same way wherever you are.
You pay the factory directly, usually a deposit on order and the balance after inspection. Our fee is invoiced separately and agreed in writing before we start. Money for your goods never passes through our account.
A single inspection on a supplier you already use, or a one-product sourcing report. Both are low-risk ways to see how we work before you hand over a production run.
Yes. We can inspect, audit, or step in to manage an order that is going wrong. If the factory is good, we will tell you so.
